A Broadway Baby...
A native of Ohio, Christopher Calhoun is a professional stage and screen actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, and playwright having trained at New York City's premiere performing arts college, The American & Musical & Dramatic Academy. Additionally, Christopher also holds a bachelor's degree from NOVA Southeastern University, having majored in political science and minored in criminal justice.
Christopher has performed in productions all over the United States, where he has performed along side Broadway veterans Frank Wildhorn, Stephen Schwartz, Marc Shaiman, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Linda Eder, Christine Ebersole, and many others. In addition to living in New York City, Christopher also lives in and regularly performs throughout the state of Florida. When in Florida, Christopher teaches musical theatre performance to children and young adults at Delray Beach Playhouse in partnership with BARCLAY Performing Arts, in Delray Beach, Florida, while also teaching numerous forms of dance classes as well.
Christopher is in the process of writing and producing his first play, "The New Normal." A play of which depicts the aftermath that a family is faced with when losing a loved one to Covid-19 and the domino effect death has on a family unit that then becomes riddled with drug addiction, bitter resentment, continued infighting, and attempted suicide.
Christopher will also embark on his first ever solo concert tour, "Finding Wonderland: A Concert," which will launch in the Summer of 2023 and travel to FL, OH, PA, NJ, MA, CA, TN, CT, and NY. Specific venue locations, cities, and dates will be announced in February of 2023.
